SHELLS AND SUNSHINE COCOON & HAT SET

SHELLS AND SUNSHINE COCOON & HAT SET

Spring is on its way, and a little sunshine will be nice.  I completed my next pattern over the weekend and made two sample sets… I am hoping I got all the little quirks worked out and I will be posting the free pattern later this week for these cute little baby Cocoon & Hat Sets.  I tossed around the thought of what to call the pattern and since the sweet little yellow one was the first one completed, I decided to call them Shells & Sunshine Cocoon and Hat Set !

.

I will be carefully going over the pattern a couple more times to make sure it works before I post it.  The pattern is simple and works up  quickly.  The set could be made up in just a few hours if you had a baby shower to go too!  The set is for newborn – 3 months.

.

These 2 sets will be delivered as usual to Alpine Originals to put up for sale.  Like I was saying last post, they are participating later this month in the our city’s Art Walk… The display they have this month is focusing on artists with children’s items.  So… I have been working at record speed to make several items that fit in that category!

  1. My sister-in-law, who lives in Mt.Shasta, posted your blog on FB. I love crochet, too. I look forward to more of your blogs.

    • Thanks,,, I have lived here in Mt Shasta most of my life… I have crocheted for 40 years, its great getting to know other crochter’s… I think that is so nice of your sister in law to post it it on FB!

      • My sister-in-law is Ronelle Nichols, perhaps you know her. They have been in Mt. Shasta probably as long as you have. My projects now are cowls for my granddaughter & two of her friends, along with wrister’s. My favorite yarn is Lion Brand, mostly Vanna Whites Choices. I’ve been crocheting for about 18 yrs. (self taught.with the birth of my first grandchild,) My 71st birthday is tomorrow (3.12.13) It’s very nice to meet you Beatrice.

        • Yes I am sure I do know her, I think she use to work at Sportsmans Den… My family owns Ramshaws Ace Hardware… We have all been here a while…
I hope you have a very happy birthday…

My grandmother Beatrice Ryan Ramshaw was the one who taught me, I named the blog in honor of her… My name is Elena Hunt…

          • HeHe, I thought you didn’t look like a ‘Beatrice”. You are definitely a Elena! Yes, Ronelle was at Sportsmans Den for many years. Now, WE really are connected! Thanks for the birthday wishes. Today is Cliff’s (Ronelle’s brother) and my 33rd Anniversary…I’m off to make his fav grilled steak dinner (with candles & wine, of course)! Looking forward to crocheting & chatting together.

          • Me too!
