Tuesday Tidbit… Crochet Storage!

How to stay organized when working on a multi-colored afghan…  I place all my yarn in a shallow plastic tote, along with my scissors, hook and other needed amenities… As I make the squares for a Granny Afghan, I also keep them lined up in the tote…This method helps keep the yarn tidy, clean and easy access when I want to pull out my project!  No more looking for my silly hook… And the bonus is… If I put it away for a long period of time… Everything is there when I am ready to crochet and no questioning what hook I was using!

Happy Hooking!!

  1. I really wish i was as organised! Looks so neat and tidy! 🙂

  2. Oh my, you sound like me! I’m an organizing freak…lol I use plastic totes for each color, I know, a bit over the line, and carry an awesome yarn tote bag when I travel. You should see the looks I get and the questions people ask me.

  3. I love it. I don’t use a container but have a bag that I use for my current projects. I have a hook case that I use which also holds my baby scissors and needle so everything is together in one place and that stays in the bag too.

  4. Very smart idea! Only thing to make it better would be if those totes came with curved ‘yarn bowl’ like grooves to thread the yarn through on the side 🙂 We should invent one!! I wish I was this organized!!

  5. Great idea!

  6. I need a tote room!

  7. Yes and put the pattern in with everything else.
