  1. Rebecca Carrier :

I love the 12 week mystery CALs. It’s broke up into parts that are manageable to do and still take care of every day responsibilities. Looking forward to more.

  2. It was my first time participating in a Beatrice Ryan Designs CAL and I absolutely enjoyed every week. The pattern was very well written and easy to follow. Thank you so much! I am looking forward to the next!

  3. Renee K Crowder Baugh :

I like 12 week mystery afghan Crochet Alongs because they are fun and relaxing! This was my 1st time completing an afghan! I look forward to many more.. such an awsome pattern!

  4. I really enjoyed this 12 week CAL! Each section was just right as far as the amount of work we did each week without getting overwhelming. I really liked the pattern, too. Thank you!

  5. I love the giveaway! Thank you Beatrice Ryan Designs and Premier Yarn.

  6. Yes! I love the 12 week CAL because usually blankets take me forever & it’s great to be done in 12 weeks.
I didn’t get to participate this time because of other projects but I thoroughly enjoyed everyone’s work & in a CAL, seeing the other’s projects help to motivate me.

  7. This afghan is soooo pretty!!! I haven’t started mine yet, but I have saved each week’s instructions, and as soon as I finish the gift I am making, I’m going to give it a go. Your designs are always beautiful, and the patterns are always easy to understand and follow. I’m looking forward to seeing what you share with us next!

  8. girliefriend :

I do. They keep me motivated.

  9. Such a delicate pattern–love the mint green you chose to use

  10. I think spreading the project out over a 12 week period gives one time to enjoy the project instead of feeling rushed to get it completed.

  11. This was my first CAL, and I enjoyed it so much! Looking forward to the next one. Beautiful pattern, thank you.

  12. Thank you for the lovely examples and the CAL.

  13. I’m working on one large-ish project – but may need a break from it soon….another project to work on – sort of “now and then” might be just ‘what the doctor ordered’ – but budget is strained right now.

Thanks for a chance to win yarn…and I LOVE the designs on this site…always something new and beautiful to “hope I can get to making that” sort of dreams….
picking up now – and really want to keep my hooks busy, busy!

  14. Oh! and by the way -= I LOVE long, “stretched out” CALs! Less pressure – and they make great “breaks” for times like when I’m already working on a LARGE project – and need to take small breaks to work on something else to “refresh” my mind!

    • Suzanne Varnell :

Loved this cal! It was really relaxing to do. Thank you so much Elena, I luv your CALs ❤️❤️🌹🌹

  15. This the first Mystery CAL I’ve actually finished, almost, still working on it, I’m finishing week 10 now…… The 12 weeks was a good pace, unfortunately, I lost a few weeks because of surgery. I definitely would be done if life hadn’t gotten in the way…… Love the pattern. I have to say this was a lot of fun. Thank you for the pattern!

  16. Dawn Thomason :

    This was my 1st CAL – I had fun! I learned a few new stitches/techniques 🙂

  17. I think CALs are a great way to enjoy crocheting with a group, and get help & feedback with a project.

  18. Madeline Serafine :

I like to work on several projects at the same time. Long CALs allow me to do so with less stress.
Thank you for your hard work and amazing talent in producing the beautiful projects you offer us.

  19. Very nice blanket – I did not participate in the CAL because I’m finishing a sort of complicated blanket for my granddaughter. I may get the pattern for later. Maybe I should have, judging by Carol D’s comments! Hind sight!!

  20. I enjoy the longer projects. It’s fun to see everyone’s projects come to life and I love seeing the different color schemes schemes used in the course of the project.

  21. I have always been “afraid” to do a CAL because I just don’t do well under pressure! However I LOVE that your CAL’s are LONG and stretched out! Thank you for doing this and keeping us slow pokes in mind! Love your work and your patterns!

  22. Love seeing the different colors! Such a fun project!

  23. I really enjoy the 12 week CALs. There is just enough of the pattern each week so that I can stay caught up or do an extra project or two along with it. The patterns are great, simple to do but have an elegance in the look and texture.

  24. Sandra McFadden :

I do but due to health constraints sometimes it is hard for me to keep up with everyone.

  25. I love this pattern – it is fun, light and airy and you chose a beautiful color. Had a last making mine. Thank you for the inspiration.

  26. I love working through the 12 week CALs. I especially enjoy the filet look this time since I have not done that before.

  27. Dinah Roberts :

Yes, I find them very interesting to see how they will turn out!

  28. Carlene Garrick :

I loved the surprises each week…first one ever…I didn’t get finished due to family health issue but will because it’s a beautiful pattern! Thank you!
