Supplies~

  • Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver Ombre Yarn in Purple 482 Yards
  • Hook: H Hook
  • Scissors
  • Pom Pom Maker
  • Yarn Needle

Size~

3″ (scarf is double thick) x 80″ including the pom poms

Stitches~

Fsc ~ Foundation Single Crochet

Blsc ~ Back Loop Single Crochet

Sl St ~ Slip Stitch

*This project is made working in the round. After round 1 join, you will not join any other rounds and continue crocheting until it reaches the length you desire.

Instructions~

Make 2 large Pom Poms- Do this first. You will use the remaining part of the skein to make the scarf (that way you don’t run out of yarn to make your Pom Poms)

Round 1: Start with leaving a 4″ tail. Make 30 Fsc, join with sl st to beginning. Be very carful not to twist the chain when joining. = 30 fsc

Round 2 and beyond: Blsc in each st around. You will continue to work blsc in each st without joining until you reach the desired length.

I had enough yarn to make the actual scarf part 77″

To finish off: Join with sl st, finish off and leave a 4″ tail. Using your tail and a yarn needle, you will weave the yarn in and out of the end stitches and draw it closed. Secure, tie on Pom Pom. Repeat on the opposite end.

Congratulations.. You now have a Simple Winter Scarf!!!
