2018 Crochet with Me!! Mystery Afghan Crochet Along.. Week 5!!!

Welcome back to the 2018 Crochet with Me!! Mystery Crochet Along… This is week 5 instructions.. And we are nearing the half way point of this 12 week CAL!!!  This week is easy and will be a quick work up… It includes all of the stitches we have used before.. just in a different way!!

This Weeks Stitches:

St – Stitch     Sp – Space    Ch – Chain     Sk – Skip     Sc – Single Crochet     Dc – Double Crochet     FPtrc – Front Post Treble Crochet

Popcorn St – *Make 4 dc in indicated st, drop loop off hook and go in 1st dc of 4, grab working loop and pull through st to form popcorn st.

** You will be reusing row 16.. here it is so you don’t have to go back to week 1…

Row 16:  Ch 1, turn, sc in 1st st, *ch 3, sk 3 sts, sc in next st, ch 2, sk 2 sts, sc in next st*, repeat *to* 2 more times, sc in next 144 sts,{ch 2, sk 2 sts, sc in next st, ch 3, sk 3 sts, sc in next st }, repeat {to} 2 times. 157 sc, 6 ch2, 6 ch3

Row 69:  Ch 3, turn, *3 dc in ch 3 sp, Fptrc around next Fptrc 2 rows below, 2 dc in next ch2 sp, Fptrc around next Fptrc 2 rows below*, repeat *to* 2 more times, dc in the next 7 sts, *ch 1, sk st, dc in the next st*, repeat *to* 64 more times, dc in next 6 sts, (Fptrc around next st 2 rows below, 2 dc in ch 2 sp, Fptrc around the next st 2 rows below, 3dc in next ch 3 sp),  repeat (to) 2 more times, ending with a dc in Last st.= 12 Fptrc, 65 ch 1 sps, 110 dc

Row 70: Repeat row 16

Row 71:  Ch 3, turn, *3 dc in ch 3 sp, Fptrc around next Fptrc 2 rows below, 2 dc in next ch2 sp, Fptrc around next Fptrc 2 rows below*, repeat *to* 2 more times, dc in next 7 sts, ch 1, sk st, dc in next 127 sts, ch 1, sk st, dc in the next 7 sts, (Fptrc around next st 2 rows below, 2 dc in ch 2 sp, Fptrc around the next st 2 rows below, 3dc in next ch 3 sp),  repeat (to) 2 more times, ending with a dc in Last st. = 173 dc, 12 Fptrc, 2 ch 1 sps
