Wednesday Facebook Fan Favorite…. Week 8

The best thing about today is… Looking at the past week’s segment’s of Free Patterns!!!!  I love Crochet!!!!  And, I love seeing what everyone is creating… If you haven’t checked in over on Facebook… You have been missing alot of fun!  Each day I host a segment called… “Would you wear it, would you make it? Tell me what you think… ”  Then I provide a link to that days chosen pattern… All week I look for patterns that I think are fun and free…Then,,, My Facebook Fans choose their favorite by clicking on the link, liking it and commenting on it all week-long… I tally up all the totals and then I present each weeks favorite… So are you ready for Week 8’s Choice… There was a ton of traffic for several of the patterns… But here is your winner…

This weekend to celebrate my 50th birthday… I bought some really nice yarn… Bernat Sequins…  I decided each skein would make at least 1 Amazing Grace Headband… So I grabbed my hook and whipped a few up…  I loved the way these headbands turned out with the sequins!… The yarn is soft and nice to work with too… Such a bonus!.  The picture below doesn’t really show how beautiful the sequins are…

In December 2007 My dearest and best friend passed away from Breast Cancer.  I stood by her side through diagnosis, treatment, surgery and death…  This Amazing Grace Pattern Series is in memory of her, Sandra Kay Gilb… And with the hope it may help others survive and get early treatment by funds raised with sales of these projects and donations of projects to those who need some comfort.

.

I am currently working with Elk Studio from the Heart Charity  to donate in October to Crochet for Cancer… I am donating 12 hats in the series.  If you are interested in donating to Crochet for Cancer or Joining our Elk Studio Group… Here is the info…
