Granny Baby…

.

Another weekend and time to start another project!  My Sunburst Granny Square Blanket I started last a couple of weeks ago is coming along great!  But, that one is for me and it was time to make something for Alpine Original’s, the little store where I sell my crochet…

.

So… I set aside the Sunburst Granny just for a few days and started this adorable Granny Square Baby Blanket.  I have a large stash of great yarn and was able to pick a beautiful combination.   This is the pattern my Grandmother Beatrice Ryan taught me at 10 years old… It has regained its popularity recently and I am blessed to have been taught this skill that will hopefully inspire many others to learn and love the Art of Crochet !

I will be finishing up in the next day or so, then off to the shop!  I will post a picture of the completed project… Let me know what you think!

So, here’s to teaching the Art of Crochet!!! Pass it on…

Love of Crochet

It just seemed fitting that today I would begin my new journey and write about my love for crochet.  When I was 10, my grandmother Beatrice Ryan Ramshaw ( A Little Irish Powerhouse) taught me her love of crocheting…. My first project was a Purple Granny Square Blanket…At 10, I think every girl loves purple!

Over the years I have made and designed hundreds of crochet projects and would love to bring some of my ideas to life for you to enjoy!  I no longer have that Purple Blanket, but soon I will be posting pictures and patterns.  I hope to leave a legacy for the art of crochet to continue for many generations.  Both of my daughters Nicole 28 and Mackenzie 16 have taken up this family hobby and I couldn’t be more thrilled!  So here is to the Love of Crochet!

I made these Heart Brooch’s and they can be found at Alpine Originals in Mt. Shasta
