Day 7 Knit & Crochet Blog Week – 4KCBWDAY7

Today is the last day of the Knit & Crochet Blog Week Challenge… I can’t believe I was able to post all 7 days! It has been fun and I hope you enjoyed it too! Our last assignment,,, Day 7,,, Is to talk about “Where we would like to be 1 year from now with our Crafting”…

I have already stretched myself this year by opening my blog and life up to all the world with my crochet… It has been a great experience so far… But, my main goal in the next few months is to get my Etsy Store up and going… It isn’t so much the work it will take to get the store open,, Its more having enough crochet products available… Thanks to my friends at our local store Alpine Originals, I sell many pieces each month there… So I will have to step up my game and get some things going for online sales… Who knows, all this crocheting could work into a full-time job at the rate I am going…

Since my topic for the last day is asking about the future, I didn’t have any pictures to post to go with the subject,,,, So, I though I would show you a few pictures from my life… Hope you enjoy!

Our 5 baby Kittens,,, They all have home to go to!!! Charlie asking me to go for a walk,,, The trees finally starting to bud out!

The apple trees in bloom,,, Early bloomers in the yard… Daffodils Charlie and I found on our walk…

Great Mt. Shasta View on the walk! And the rushing stream…. And finally home, a much-needed drink of water!

I cleaned out the first flowerbed… Planted my first spring planterbox… The hubby mowed the lawn…

Stopped to make some tea…. And finally… Dinner!

Also, this morning I attended a great sermon at church and an all church barbeque… It was so fun and great to have some time to visit with all my friends! But, unfortunately I don’t have pictures to share…

So here is to What is in the future, My daily life and hanging out with my friends at Church! Now it’s off to Crochet,,, Can’t Wait!!!

Weekend Crochet and More….

The weekend was coming to a close and looking back I actually got a lot done! A little housekeeping… A long walk with Charlie and finished up some crochet projects… Just in time to start the next weeks list of to- do’s!

My weekend journey started off Saturday morning with a cup off coffee and of course I used one of my Twisted Stitches Coffee Cozy’s and since we are still celebrating National Crochet Month… Don’t forget to check out the FREE PATTERN by clicking on the pattern tab…

Then I got to work finishing up an adorable Sweet Pea Zig Zag Baby Blanket that I will be delivering to the shop this week… I haven’t done a Ripple Afghan for years, I must say…

I love the way this turned out, some little sweet pea will get to snuggle in very soon!

Then… I got the notice on my weather station… A large storm headed our way on Tuesday… It looked so beautiful outside today, I couldn’t resist and decided to take Charlie for a walk while the weather was nice… A snow storm coming and our little 2 mile loop won’t be much fun to walk later this week,..So we headed out…

Charlie lead the way down the road and around our loop…Of course he had to stop and show me the geese in the field… Next the big decision… Which way to go… To the Lake or town???

Another stop along the way to check the mountain out…Then back to the house where we looked back one last time to peak at the view of the mountain from the front step…

At the last moment, a quick stop to look up at the pretty cross hanging from the tree and Charlie was all worn out! Back in the house to kick back and take it

easy for the rest of the day

While Charlie took his afternoon nap, I whipped up some Mocha Java Muffins and a cup of tea…

Then I finished of my evening by making a couple of cute Cozy Cotton Baby Beanie’s… Another sweet project to sell at Alpine Originals…

All that and it is the end of the weekend…

Charlie!!

This is Charlie,,, My 3-year-old Boxer…. If you know anything about Boxers, you know they are stuck in puppy stage for life… Overly energetic, a bit hyper, statisticians, athletic and of course they think they are somewhere in the top of the hierarchy in the family! Of course Charlie is all that and more!!!

Charlie, A Girl’s Best Friend! He hangs out with me every chance he gets. Sometimes a little to close!!… If I stop to do anything he is laying or sitting at my feet… I would trip and land very awkwardly… But by now,,, I always know he is there and just know how to move so I don’t go flying across the room…

This is Charlie just being an energetic Boxer… Running as fast as he can to me down the path of snow… Hoping I will give him a treat!

I say he is my best friend… But I think he has a lot of “best friends” in our house! This is “his” cat-his other best friend..She loves him right back…

This morning he was so excited over the new snow and the prospect of digging around in it to find his bones… He loves the snow! He would spend all day running through the yard plowing through it with his floppy dog face…

Well, That’s my Charlie for now… So here is to a girl having a faithful best friend!
