So… Let’s start off with a few hints…

Take your time and have fun!

Make sure your stitch count matches up each round.

You will not be turning on every round, so pay attention to which rounds say turn(this will apply to future weeks)

Everyones tension is a bit different. So your gauge may be different than mine.. Below is my gauge, so test yours and switch up hook sizes if you need too.

I have provided picture tutorials to help with this week.. it may seem a little confusing if you haven’t don’t this stitch work before, but you can do it!!!

You will be working in rounds

Gauge:

4″ x 4″ = 12 dc x 7 rows, I found different brands of hooks also changed my gauge. I am using a Boye size I

Week 1 Measurement:

11″ x 20 1/2″ unblocked

Stitches:

St – Stitch

Sl St –  Slip Stitch

Ch – Chain

Sk – Skip

Sp – Space

Sc – Single Crochet

Blsc – Back Loop Single Crochet

Hdc – Half Double Crochet

Dc – Double Crochet

Trc – Treble Crochet

Bptrc – Back Post Treble Crochet

Bptrc groups –

(4 group- Work 4 trc over the next 4 trc of previous round leaving the last loop of each stitch on the hook, yarn over and pull through all 5 loops on the hook)

(8 group-Work 8 trc over the next 8 trc of previous round leave the last loop of each stitch on the hook, yarn over and pull through all 9 loops on the hook)

AKA Barvarian Stitch .. Click here for a video tutorial… It is slightly different than mine because it is square rather than rectangle… But the same theory…
