Well Let’s get started with the final week…

This weeks stitches:

  • St – Stitch

  • Sk – Skip
  • Sc – Single Crochet
  • Dc – Double Crochet

This week is super easy,, one round and blocking.. That’s it!

Finished size after blocking… 72″ x 84″

You will be using your I hook

Round 79: (Hdc,dc,hdc) in next st, sl st in next 2 sts, (hdc,dc,hdc) in next st, sl st in next 3 sts, (hdc,dc,trc,dc,hdc) in next st(corner), sl st in next 3 sts, *(hdc,dc,hdc) in next st, sl st in next 2 sts*, repeat *to* 86 more times, sl st in next st, (hdc,dc,trc,dc,hdc) in next st, sl st in next 3 sts, repeat *to* 76 times, sl st in next st, (hdc,dc,trc,dc,hdc) in next st, sls st in next 3 sts, repeat *to* 87 times, sl st in next st, (hdc,dc,trc,dc,hdc) in next st, sl st in next 3 sts, repeat * to* 73 times, (hdc,dc,hdc) in next st, sl st in last st, join with sl st to beginning sl st. = 326 (hdc,dc,hdc), 4 (hdc,dc,trc,dc,hdc) and 668 sl sts

That is it.. you have now completed the 2019 Crochet with Me!! Mystery Afghan CAL.. Congratulations!!!

The final step is blocking.. We have talked about this in our group,, your project may be a little wavy, puckered or something.. So blocking will solve this. Two ways to block..

Wet Method-Get your afghan damp by spraying it lightly with water on both sides… lay it out and carefully pull it into shape, pin it into place if you like or if you are on carpet or a bed, it may stay in place.. Let it dry and you are done…

Steam method (this is what I do), lay your project out and shape it as much as possible.. lightly steam it and carefully pull it into shape… Be very careful not to over heat or you will ruin the yarn. Let it cool and your are done!

I am so happy you all joined me this year!! It has been a pleasure designing this year project and you all inspire me! I hope you email me your finished photos!
