Amazing to wear and and easy to make… My September Jewel Super Scarf  is part of Red Heart’s Joy Creators Blog Hop for September!  Myself and 9 of my fellow Joy Creators are participating in this fantastic fall free pattern blog hop.. Yes… 10 free Super Scarf Free Patterns using many different yarns by Red heart!!  My project is made using an awesome Red Heart Boutique Yarn called Gleam…  Gleam is a soft, worsted weight yarn with gold flecks throughout the skein… The great part is the rich, deep color of Canyon along with the shimmer of gold make this a perfect yarn for this season… I will get plenty of use with this super scarf… It is my new favorite scarf pattern and I hope you will love it too!!

Materials:

Yarn~ Approximately 500 yards of Medium Worsted Weight Yarn

*Shown in my project picture is Red Heart Boutique Gleam in Canyon

Hook~ K

St ~ Stitch     Sk ~ Skip     Ch ~ Chain     Sc ~ Single Crochet      Dc ~ Double Crochet

Picot ~ Ch 3 after indicated sc, sl st in base of sc

Size:

9 1/2″ wide x 110″ long

Instructions:

Ch 39

Row 1:  Dc in the 4th ch from hook(this will make the first 2 dc), dc in the next 3 sts, *ch 2, sk 2 sts, sc in the next st, ch 5, sk 5 sts, sc in the next st, ch 2, sk 2 sts, dc in the next 5 sts* repeat *to* one more time. =15 dc, 4 sc, 4 ch2 sps, 2 ch5 sps

Row 2: Ch 3, turn, dc in next 4 sts, *ch 2, sk next ch 2, sc in next sc, ch 2, sc around the ch 5 sp in previous row, picot, ch 2, sc in next sc, ch 2, sk next ch 2 sp, dc in next 5 sts*, repeat *to* one more time. = 15 dc, 8 ch 2 sps, 6 sc

Row 3:  Ch 3, dc in next 4 sts, *ch 2, sk next ch 2 sp, sc in next sc, ch 5, sk over the (ch2, picot, ch2) from previous row, sc in next sc, ch 2, sk next ch 2 sp, dc in next 5 sts*, repeat *to* one more time. = 15 dc, 4 sc, 4 ch2 sps, 2 ch5 sps

Repeat rows 2 & 3 until your project measures 110″

Thats it… easy peasy!!!!


Congratulations!!!  You now have a September Jewel Super Scarf… You can experiment with different yarns to see what effects you get, but keep in mind that it may change the look and sizing of the project…

    Totally lost at row 25 and after,when you start different captions {} x amount of times?

      Just take it step by step… basically you will do 9 (sc,dc), sk st segments, then you will sc only in the next st, you will do all of this 3 times total around, then sk a st, (sc,dc) in next st twice and sk the last st and join. Try to read through the pattern so you get use to multiple repeat marks after you get it… it just takes practice
